Resident Doctors Strikes

The British Medical Association (BMA) has announced that Resident Doctors will be taking strike action, in the form of a full walkout from 7am on 17 December until 7am 22 December.

Resident Doctors employed by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are eligible to take part in these strikes. We fully support and respect the legal right of our staff to participate in these strikes.

Keeping Patients Safe

Our top priority remains the safety and wellbeing of our patients and the continued delivery of essential services. We are working closely with our staff and union partners to reduce the impact of this action on patients, visitors, and colleagues.

As part of our planning, some routine and non-urgent appointments and procedures may have been rescheduled. If your appointment is affected, you should have already been contacted directly. If you have not heard from us, please attend your appointment as planned.

• If you're unsure where to go, please contact NHS 111 for advice and direction to the most appropriate service.

For urgent mental health support:

• Contact NHS 111 and ask to speak to the Mental Health Triage Service.

For urgent or emergency care:

• Contact NHS 111 if you need urgent medical attention.
